PlayStation system owners are in for a wonderful treat this week as new games of varying genre arrive. From action role-playing games (RPG) to virtual reality (VR) immersion, there is definitely a lot to look forward to.

This week's "The Drop" features 16 titles that differ in intensity and style. Out of the many options, four of them are available both to PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PS Vita, two can be enjoyed via the PS VR, while the rest are playable through the PS4.

The most notable title arriving this week is Square Enix and Platinum Games' action RPG game, "NieR: Automata." Set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world where machine lifeforms have invaded the Earth, the humans who sought refuge on the moon formed the Android infantry led by YoRHa 2B, sending them back in the world with hopes to take back the planet. The game becomes officially available on March 7.

For fans of the PS VR, Winking Entertainment's "Unearthing Mars" is the definition of immersive gameplay. The player takes on the role of a co-pilot who first explores the terrain of the Red planet either through foot or rover. As the story progresses, the player gets to solve puzzles and eventually will have to shoot down incoming threats, making it a multi-faceted experience. First introduced in Asia last Jan. 19, the title will be available on western systems on March 7.

Aside from the two highlighted games, the other titles arriving this week include "2Dark," "Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey," "Clicker Heroes," "Darknet," "Dino Dini's Kick Off Revival," "Disc Jam," "Gem Smashers," "Lego Worlds," "Loot Rascals," "Shift Happens," "Sublevel Zero Redux," "Talisman Digital Edition," "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands," and "Total Jigsaw."

The week brings not only new games, but also some highly anticipated content. Some of them are the film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" which includes bonus features, as well as the captivating soundtrack for the PS4 exclusive "Horizon: Zero Dawn."
