New Tab On the Block: Acer Iconia Tab A100 at $329

Acer's new Iconia Tab A100 may not be in the ranks of Apple's iPad 2 or Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1, but if you are seeking to get your hands on an Android Honeycomb 3.2 powered tablet, the price you pay for this device will surely be attractive.

The Iconia Tab A100 is being launched today across the nation and it starts at $329.99 for a 7-inch touch screen 8 GB model, and $349.99 for a 16GB model, which fares quite well compared to the price tag of an iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1, which start at $499 for a 16GB model and $599 for a 32GB model.

The price difference in part is a result of the difference in the display dimensions, iPad 2 has a 9.7-inch display and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 a 10.1-inch display.  But if one considers paying $349.99 for a tablet giving you very similar performance to the Galaxy Tab 10.1, then the Iconia Tab A100 is a total bargain.
