New Year's Eve 2014: Performances by Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande (TV Schedule)

There will be an estimated million partygoers packing into New York's Times Square on New Year's Eve 2014 to watch the ball drop at midnight, and up to a billion more will see the iconic moment around the world on TV and online.

The famous New Year's ball drop takes 60 seconds, and this year will be activated by U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Sotomayor is of course a native of the Bronx, New York City, and was famously appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2009 as the first Hispanic to ever take the role.
