New York Giants vs Chicago Bears Live Stream Free: Watch Online Thursday Night Football (NFL Start Time, NFLN TV Info)

New York Giants vs Chicago Bears takes place on Thursday Night Football tonight to kick off week 6 of the NFL 2013 regular season. Both teams have run into serious issues in the weeks preceding this game, and both will be desperate to get the win tonight. The big match up is scheduled to start at 8.25 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

This primetime match up when it was first announced in the NFL schedule was touted as being between two of the best teams in the league, with most penciling them in as probable playoff contenders. However, over recent weeks the two teams have hit a wall and this has now turned into a match up between two teams on the fall.

The Bears come into this game having lost back to back games following going on a three match win streak to open up the season. That leaves them at 3-2, and they will be desperate not to fall back to .500.

Four of the Bears' games have been decided by eight points or less, and they have struggled at various points in each game in offense and defense.

Meanwhile the Giants are all over the place, and have problems in just about every place on the field on both sides of the ball. They enter this game at 0-5, and will need to go on an amazing run now to have any hope of making the playoffs. If they lose today and go 0-6 they would probably have to win at least eight of their remaining 10 games to have a chance at taking part in the postseason. However, at the moment they are relatively lucky that no other team in the NFC East have really taken control of the division.

In the past two weeks the Bears have lost 32-40 to Detroit, and 18-26 to New Orleans. They will be hoping that Jay Cutler can continue getting back to his best tonight, having thrown three interceptions against Detroit. He was vastly improved against New Orleans, completing 72.7 percent of attempted passes, and throwing for 358 yards.

However, Cutler's interception problems are minor compared to the Giants' Peyton Manning, who over the first five weeks of the season has become the king of the interception. He has repeatedly allowed the ball to be intercepted, and he will know that he needs to improve and stop giving up the ball so cheaply.

Both teams have been terrible at times in defense, and will be hoping to address those issues tonight. However, the Giants will be weary that the Bears have the fourth best offense in the league on total points scored per game (29 points), meaning if the Giants defense is as bad in previous weeks we could see Chicago racking up a score in the 30s or even 40s tonight.
