New York Giants vs Pittsburgh Steelers live stream (Fox TV schedule): Watch NFL 2016 football online
The New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers face off at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on Sunday in an important game for both teams. The game has a scheduled start time of 4.25 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the Fox network or online through live stream (details below).
Both of these teams are second in their respective divisions, and both know that a solid close to their regular seasons are essential if they are to claim their spots in the Playoffs.
The New York Giants are currently sitting behind the 11-1 Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East with a record of 8-3. They almost certainly will make the Playoffs if they can do well in the coming few weeks, but a couple of slip ups could open the door for the Washington Redskins to pounce.
The Redskins are third in the NFC East with a 6-4-1 record coming into Week 13. At the moment both the Giants' and the Redskins' records are enough for them both to qualify for the Wild Card spots in the Playoffs. The Giants would currently take the 5th seed spot, while the Redskins would take the 6th seed place.
But especially for the Redskins there is little room for mistake, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Minnesota Vikings are breathing down their necks in the Playoffs Picture with 6-5 and 6-6 records respectively.
The Pittsburgh Steelers meanwhile are currently on the outside looking in on the Playoffs positions coming into Week 13. Their 6-5 record is not enough at the moment to make the Wild Card spots, which are currently occupied by the 8-3 Chiefs and the 7-4 Dolphins.
They are actually closer in fact to the AFC North leading Baltimore Ravens, who are tied with the Steelers on 6-5 but ahead of them coming into this weekend's games.
That means if the Steelers can win today it would put pressure on the Ravens and anything could happen in the AFC North in the closing weeks of the season.
