New York Giants vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Watch Live Stream Online

The New York Giants are eager to return to the football field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and finally put behind the embarrassing opening day loss they suffered at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys.

The Giants started the defense of their Super Bowl title in lackluster fashion, losing to the Cowboys last Wednesday 24-17. The team looked sluggish and lacking the mental preparedness that coach Tom Coughlin's team has become known for.

The Cowboys used missed tackles and mental lapses to outpace the Giants on the ground 143-82 while also exploiting holes in the Giant's secondary to throw for nearly 300 yards.

"I haven't slept well, so I think we all are itching to get back on the field…Definitely got a lot of work to do on the practice field," Justin Tuck, Giants defensive end, told reporters during a press conference on Monday.

With the loss the Giants are now hearing about the pressure being placed on them not to fall further behind in the standings by going 0-2 to start the season. The fact that the other teams in their NFC East division won their games just adds to the fodder.

Coughlin understands that they did put themselves in a poor position, but knows they will have plenty of more opportunities to come into winning form.

"You can't lose a game," Coughlin told ESPN.com. "Everybody's 1-0, and we're 0-1. We have another big game this weekend. That's the great thing about our profession, we get to line up and play again."

The Giants do have a bit of good news coming off their first lost they had plenty of time to rest with 10 days between the their first two games.

To help the secondary, injured cornerback Prince Amukamara is expected to play and will do well to help bolster a secondary that was burned repeatedly by Dallas quarterback Tony Romo.

Coverage for the game starts at 1:00 p.m. ET and can be watched on FOX or online here.
