However, the Knicks are also comfortably ahead of the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers who have struggled to make a positive impact in the campaign.
On the other hand, the Timberwolves are last in the Northwest Division currently ruled by the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are 7.0 games behind the leaders right now and are 1.0 games behind the Portland Trail Blazers who are fourth in the division.
The Knicks have proven talent in Arron Afflalo, Robin Lopez and Carmelo Anthony. They are an improved team from where they were last season but the biggest buzz in the team is rookie Kristaps Porzingis.
The Porzingis Mania has taken the Big Apple by storm as his signs of passion and promise have given the fans something to cheer about.
On the other side of the court, the Timberwolves have Karl-Anthony Towns who is a silent but efficient rookie who is out to prove that he deserves the top pick that was given to him in the draft.
