In the same inning, Michael Conforto hit one over the fence as his 353-feet hit made it 2-0 for the Mets.
Unfazed by the initial onslaught, the Dodgers recovered and Justin Turner cut the lead in half after Andre Ethier's double.
It was in the seventh inning where the Dodgers poured the scoring as Kike Hernandez scored after Kendrick reached on fielder's choice.
He would eventually score as Gonzalez doubled. Chase Utley would also successfully score in the same run.
Finally, Gonzalez found home plate after a double from Turner to get the 5-2 win and tie the series.
