If they cannot turn things around immediately then they will be put on the brink, and they cannot afford to fall 3-0 behind if they realistically want to keep their conference dreams alive.
It will have given the Rangers confidence that the Bruins almost gave up a 3-1 lead in the last round, only just managing to hold on to make it through to the semifinals.
