New York Rangers vs New Jersey Devils Live Stream, Start Time: Watch Online NHL Hockey 2015
Metropolitan Division rivals will meet for the last time this season as the New Jersey Devils host the New York Rangers at the Prudential Center. The match is on April 7, 2015 at 7 p.m. ET.
New Jersey is currently seventh in the division with 77 points and have had a bad spell in their last eight games. In that stretch, the Devils only managed to win once, while only collecting two points in the other seven matches.
Their lone win was a 3-2 penalty shootout victory over the Montreal Canadiens at home.
Despite holding a 1-0 lead after 10 minutes, the Devils surrendered two quick goals to go down 2-1 at the end of the first period. Reid Boucher's snap shot in the second period leveled things before needing a shootout to secure the extra point.
However, their win was quickly dispelled when they faced the Rangers at the Madison Square Garden.
New York were riding a two-game win streak before their match against the Devils and have won 10 of their last 14 prior to the division match.
And upon the drop of the puck, it was evident that the Rangers were the better team. They quickly got to out to a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period behind goals from Rick Nash, Keith Yandle and Dominic Moore. Things would go from bad to worse for the Devils as Derek Stepan added to the lead in the second period before Derick Brassard and Moore netted in the third to complete the route. Only Tuomo Ruutu's consolation goal prevented the clean sweep, but the domination was apparent.
That win was New York's third win over New Jersey this season, and they will look to complete the season series sweep at the Prudential Center.
