The New York Yankees and the Houston Astros will meet at Minute Maid Park on Friday night in a huge Game 6 for their MLB 2017 Playoffs American League Championship Series as the Yankees look to complete their astonishing comeback and claim the pennant. Everyone thought that this series was going the Astros way after they went 2-0 up, however, three straight games at Yankee Stadium has turned this ALCS on its head and now the Yankees at 3-2 are just one win from progressing to the World Series 2017, with the Los Angeles Dodgers awaiting.
The Astros know this is do or die time, and they face the first of two potential elimination games that they must win to keep their own World Series dreams alive.

Houston will send out co-ace pitcher Justin Verlander to the mound in an attempt to take this series to a winner takes all Game 7. Facing him, attempting to get the Yankees over the line, will be Luis Severino.
Severino has gone 1-0 with a 5.56 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 9 strike outs from 11.1 innings. He of course featured in Game 2 of this series, and lasted just four innings as the Yankees fell to a 2-1 loss.
The Astros will be desperate for their batters to get back on top. As a group they had such an amazing regular season, but against the Yankees they have gone cold, hitting a lowly .167 as a team in this series.
They were of course shut out completely in Game 5, and the Astros will be hoping the change of scenery and the return to Minute Maid Park can see them come out of their shells once again.
Manager AJ Hinch said following their Game 5 loss: "We're going to go home. We hit well. We get a day off tomorrow [Thursday], which is probably the most important thing, and try to make some offensive adjustments." He added, "The playoffs, [are] about advanced scouting and exposing weaknesses, if they get you to crack a little bit outside of your game plan then they've got you. We haven't stayed in our game plan quite well enough to make adjustments."
