Newsboys Move To Inpop Records

Contemporary Christian pioneers the newsboys recently made the move from long time partners EMI-CMG to the Tennessee-based Inpop Records -- a label that was co-founded by newboys frontman Peter Furler and includes such artists as Tree63, Shane & Shane and Paul Colman. Inpop will be handling all marketing, sales, radio promotion and publicity for the group.

“Words can’t express how excited we are to have this opportunity to work with the newsboys,” says Rob Poznanski, General Manager for Inpop Records. “I’ve worked with this band for years and I’ve seen, firsthand, Peter’s creativity, his vision, and his passion for music and ministry.”

“I love the people at this label,” said Furler. “I’ve known many of them for years, and they are like family to me.”

The newsboys have already begun working on their first project on Inpop: a double-disc package including a new studio rock album and a new studio worship album. The package, which is due out this fall, will feature over 20 recordings from the award-winning band.

“We appreciate that the newsboys have demonstrated such confidence in this Inpop team,” says Bruno Pirecki, General Manager of Sales and Distribution at Inpop Records. “Our staff is proud to represent their product to the industry, and our partners at EMI-CMG distribution are thrilled to be launching the October release with us.”
