Nexus 10 2 Release Date Coming Soon, Device Named LG V510

The Nexus 10 2 release date should be coming soon as its existence was confirmed by a well-known leaker this week.

The device, now known as the LG V510 could be the next-gen 10-inch Nexus model.

"The LG V510 tablet is indeed a Nexus device," wrote the @evleaks on its Twitter this week.

This tablet also follows up the LG V500 which is an 8-inch slate that launched earlier this year. The similar names point to the LG V510 coming with an 8-inch screen as well. There have been recent spec leaks revealing that this will not be a 10-inch device, but all of this is still here say as none of this information has been confirmed by Google at this time.

Launching an 8-inch Nexus would only make sense if the company is looking to directly compete with the iPad Mini, however, it would do little to impact the high-end tablet market.

The fact that these are all just rumors at this point also does little to rule out the possibility that the LG V510 is a 10-inch device.

Other rumored specs for the LG 5V10 include a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 18-hour battery life, and Android 4.4 KitKat.

It would make sense for Google to launch this device before the end of the year as it would follow up the original Samsung made Nexus 10 perfectly.

The original Nexus 10 dropped in the winter of 2012 and made headlines for its display that featured a higher resolution than the retina iPad. It also was priced a lot cheaper than the Apple slate making it a better buy over all for a Christmas gift.
