Nexus 10 2 Rumors: New Leak Points to Device Being Made by ASUS

The Nexus 10 2 rumors have been a bit scarce, as news on the Nexus 5 has overshadowed it in recent months.

Various tech insiders speculated on whether the tablet would be produced by Samsung or ASUS and now it seems that the latter of these might be the company hired to do so.

A picture was tweeted out by @evleaks yesterday that shows an inventory listing for the new device. It reads "Google Asus Nexus 10," which further points to ASUS being the maker of this product.

This is one of a few recent signs that have pointed to an ASUS Nexus 10. The device also appeared in the inventory of a British retailer and was priced at £350 for the 16GB version. If this price is legitimate, the new Nexus 10 would most likely retail for $399 in the states which is what the previous model sold for when it launched in 2012. If Asus follows the same strategy as the Nexus 7, there could be a slight price bump in comparison to last year's model. But that still remains to be seen.

If Asus does end up making the Nexus 10, it could be based off of one of the many tablets the company recently added to its roster. The new Transformer Pad Infinity TFT701T could end up being the base for the Nexus 10.

Specs on that device include a NVIDIA Tegra 4 T40X quad-core processor, Android 4.2, JellyBean, a 10.1-inch display with 2560x1600 resolution at 300ppi, 2GB RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, micro-HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port and high quality speakers with ASUS SonicMaster technology.

The device comes in a dark grey and will be released before the end of Q3.
