Nexus 10 2 Rumors: Samsung Back in the Running to Create Tablet
A new rumor that could be related to the Nexus 10 surfaced earlier this week that could point to the involvement of Samsung for the device.
A new 10.5-inch tablet leaked this week that just passed through the FCC. It is labeled the Samsung TM-T800 and features some impressive specs including a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, 2GB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front, a 7900mAh, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The tablet is rumored to feature a qHD resolution of 2560 x 1600.

There is no indication that this tablet is a Nexus device aside from the fact that the screen measures in at 10-inches. Other than that, it seems like it could be just a regular Tab variant since it doesn't come with a newer version of Android.
Previous rumors have suggested that HTC will create the new Nexus tablet. The size will be changed from 10-inches to 8.9-inches in order to better compete with the iPad mini.
Research firm IHN Technology recently stated that Google and HTC are teaming up to create this 8.9-inch "high-performance" Nexus device to replace the Nexus 10. The company's Rhona Alexander claims that volume production for this tablet will begin in July or August. It is expected to be a lower volume product that will carry a premium price tag to support the specs. She did not have any pricing information on the device.
This 8.9-inch model could be a high-end alternative to the Nexus 7 and could replace or compliment the Nexus 10. However, lack of proof that a 10-inch model exists points towards the former.
A previous report from Motoring Crunch claimed that Google had hired HTC to create the new Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. There are also other sources who stated that the new Nexus 10 could be released before the end of Q3 2014.
