Nexus 6 price gets slashed down on eBay, Amazon
Nexus 6 phones got major discounts on eBay and on Amazon ahead of next week's Google event in San Francisco, where the tech giant is expected to unveil two new Nexus models.
Users who are looking for a new carrier-unlocked Nexus 6 can buy one from eBay for just $299, or $349 from Amazon.com. The 32 GB variant of the Google Nexus 6 smartphone carries a price tag of $500, which already has a large portion slashed off from the original price, according to CNET.
The Nexus 6 is touted as a "bigger phone with more everything." It boasts of a bright 6-inch screen and dual front-facing stereo speakers. The device runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by a 3,220 mAh battery with turbo charging, BGR reports.

The large discount comes ahead of Google's event in San Francisco next week, where two new Nexus smartphones are expected to be revealed. One of the new units is from LG and the larger model is manufactured by Huawei. The latter will be the first Google-branded device made by the Chinese tech giant, the report details.
The two new Nexus phones will come with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow mobile operating system. It has been Google's tradition to launch the latest Android versions with new Nexus devices. So, those who purchase the discounted Nexus 6 smartphones may be able to download Android Marshmallow ahead of other Android users.
Leaked images of the upcoming Nexus 5X and 6P have made their rounds online recently. Nexus 5X will be a bit larger than its predecessor, the LG Nexus 5, with a 5.2-inch display. It will reportedly run the six-core Snapdragon 808 chip. The Nexus 6P, on the other hand, will sport a 5.7-inch screen with a round fingerprint scanner at the back.
Nexus devices are usually more affordable compared to Android flagship smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the HTC One M9. However, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will surely not come with the same low prices as the Nexus 6 being sold on eBay and on Amazon right now.
