Nick Lachey Kicked Out of Bengals Game for 'Excessive Trash Talking'
Nick Lachey was recently booted from an NFL game after engaging in trash talk with a fan of the opposing team. Instead of being ashamed of his behavior, however, the proud Bengals fan tweeted his support after the ordeal.
"Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder!" Lachey tweeted. "Go Cincy Bengals! #whodey," he added.
The game on Sunday was between the Cincinnati Bengals, apparently favored by Lachey, and the San Diego Chargers. Lachey was allegedly kicked out of the game when a Chargers fan told authorities Lachey was overly trash-talking the Chargers. Lachey was then escorted from the game, where he continued to cheer on his beloved team.
"Majority of charger fans were awesome yesterday, thanks for the hospitality! Sadly, there is always one guy that ruins it for everyone." Lachey later tweeted.
Lachey then explained his tweet.
"For the record, I was not kicked out of the chargers game for excessive 'trash talking.' No, that honor belonged to the guy in front of me! I simply don't appreciate someone turning around and putting their finger in my face. Call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction," he added.
It was a mix-up that left Lachey out in the cold and unable to watch his Bengals cinch the victory.
"Bengals win again. I'd trash talk to everyone in SD, but what's the point? You already had me kicked out of the stadium and you still lost," he said.
Lachey grew up in Ohio and is an unabashed fan of all the state's teams: Cincinnati Bearcats, Bengals, and Reds. He has several pictures posted of himself supporting those teams and even has a tiny baseball glove for his son Camden, who was born in September.
He is passionate about sports and is co-owner of the Hollywood Fame. He has had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for Opening Day in Cincinnati in 2009.
