Nicki Minaj and Boyfriend New Music Sparks Outrage

Nicki Minaj and boyfriend Safaree, aka Scaff Beezy, have become the subject of scrutiny after releasing separate songs which have sparked outrage.

As the Christian Post previously reported Nicki Minaj's latest single "You a Stupid H--" was recently banned from being aired on the Black Entertainment Television (BET) cable channel after network officials deemed the song's music video "too explicit" for television, according to TMZ.

Meanwhile, the popular rapper's boyfriend and hypeman, Safaree has been condemned for incorporating what critics have labeled "violent lyrics" in his new single "Count It Up."

Although Safaree is not as well established as Minaj in the music industry, his single, which was posted on DJ Funkmaster Flex's website, has gained recognition because of his ties to platinum hit rapper Minaj.

In his song, Safaree blatantly states "I'll slap the s--- out of you, tie you up and then f--- your cousin."

Critics have charged that the lyrics promote violence against women, and fans have been angered claiming that the lyrics are in poor taste considering that Minaj once allegedly accused the aspiring rapper of domestic violence, according to The Boom Box.

A Texas hotel manager was overheard calling 911 on July 11, after Minaj allegedly asked for help following a violent incident between her and Safaree.

"Did you hear all that? It's pretty crazy up here right now. This is a celebrity profile group. This is Nicki Minaj... she got hit in the face by somebody, too. I'm sure you got that on tape. She got hit," the Palomar manager told a 911 dispatcher.

The "Superbass" singer has never addressed the incident, and appears to still be romantically involved with the hypeman.

Minaj's music video features the singer in skimpy clothing and at one point performing sexually suggestive dance moves inside an animal cage.

The video has been labeled "risqué" and "oppressive" to women by critics who argue that it sends the wrong message to her young fans, although supportive fans insist that like Safaree's song it is purely harmless entertainment.

Minaj is expected to perform at the 2012 Grammy awards, and Safaree is expected to accompany her.
