Nicki Minaj Delays Album Release, Unveils New Video

Nicki Minaj has delayed her second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, opting for an April release instead of a Valentine's Day one.

The popular female rapper announced via Twitter that she would push back the much-anticipated album to a little less than two months later.

"New Album Date: April 3rd. Pink Friday: ROMAN RELOADED. But have no fear. Tons of suprises before then ;). Love Always, HB," tweeted the hip-hop queen to her eight million followers.

The fans, which Minaj dubs her "barbies" or "barbz" after her own "Harajuku Barbie" moniker, were very disappointed with the news.

"Roman reloaded is [pushed] back until april 3rd … I just died a little in side," one user tweeted several days ago.

Others responded directly to Minaj's Twitter, looking for more information about the delay.

"Why did @nickiminaj push back 'ROMAN RELOADED'? whats the hold up?" questioned one fan.

So far, Minaj- whose real name is Onika Maraj- has not provided any specific details as to why the album would be delayed. She has not divulged whether the decision was hers, or was perhaps made by her record label, Young Money Entertainment.

To satiate her fans, however, the rapper-singer unveiled her newest video, titled "Stupid H--." Minaj, known for her over-the-top rap stylings, loud hair, and louder outfits, raised the bar considerably with the short preview.

"Stupid H--" features Minaj's usual antics, along with digitally enhanced eyeballs, giving the vixen a startling eye-popping effect.

Dec. 2 of last year, Minaj released a song called "Roman in Moscow," which features her alter ego, Roman Zolanski.

The rapper also plans to release the lead single for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded Feb. 7. It is called "Va Va Voom," and is one of the three tracks definitively confirmed for the album.
