Nicki Minaj News: Singer Says She Regrets Feuds with Other Celebrities
On Thursday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Nicki Minaj revealed that she regrets all the fights she has been involved in with other celebrities.
The prominent singer has been in headlines over the past years for feuding with the likes of Lil' Kim, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, and even the legendary Mariah Carey. While she has always put up a strong face each time a feud gets out in public, she told the audiences during the Facebook Live chat on DeGeneres' talk show that she regrets them all.
According to Entertainment Weekly, a fan asked if she has ever regretted a disagreement with other celebrities, to which she replied: "Yeah, all the time. All my feuds I regret, because I'm a sweet person, and I don't want to be mean to people."
In 2010, Minaj had a sore and rather ugly battle with Lil' Kim after the latter's album cover seemed to suggest that it was Minaj whose head has been cut in the image. Minaj went on ranting on interviews that she respects and looks up to Kim but she went too far with the hate.
Two years later, as a judge for "American Idol," Minaj battled it out with Carey as several footages revealed that the younger singer appeared to shout cuss words at the legend. Ryan Seacrest explained back then that the argument started when a certain contestant performed. Fans speculated that the two artists may not have agreed with the performance, which led to the exchange of heated words.
A month before the 2015 MTV VMAs arrived, Minaj took to social media and ranted about her "Anaconda" video not being up for Video of the Year. Swift, convinced that she was being called out as Minaj's post suggested, replied, and fans went on to add more fuel to the fire. Unlike the rest of her famous celeb battles, Minaj's Twitter argument with Swift ended with good will.
Finally, there's the ever famous 2015 VMAs moment that Minaj became even more popular for. During her acceptance speech for the Hip-Hop Video of the Year award, she called out Cyrus for reacting about her in one of her interviews. The issue died out in a few weeks.
