Nicki Minaj Sparks Health Care Debate, Questions Obama After Death of 'Moesha' Actress
Nicki Minaj is sounding off on the issues taking place with health care in the United States and tweeted President Barack Obama directly with some of her questions and concerns.
Minaj, 29-year-old New York rapper, began to speak out about health care issues after news broke that actress Yvette Wilson from the 1990s sitcom "Moesha" died from cancer recently, while her family was attempting to take donations to help alleviate medical costs through the website www.giveforward.com. After one of Minaj's fans tweeted about the news, the actress responded by pointing out flaws in the country's health care system.
"Oh no Yvette Wilson passed away from cancer tonight," one fan tweeted after the news of Wilson's death made headlines Thursday night. "God Bless her."

Minaj responded by informing her fans that the 48-year-old actress had to raise money to pay for her cervical cancer medication before passing away.
"(She) had to raise [insert dollar] for her MEDS," Minaj tweeted.
The rapper went on to tell her followers about the lack of help that the actress received from the government.
"What's sad is that when Yvette was bringing home the bacon, the gov't was probably taking millions," Minaj tweeted. "On her deathbed though, #Nowheretobefound."
Minaj retweeted another message from a fan that highlighted why Wilson raising her own medical expenses was unjust.
"The fact that money had to be raised for her medical expenses when she obviously couldn't prevent this," the fan wrote.
The rapper seemed to agree after retweeting the message, and offering her own opinion on the matter while questioning President Obama via Twitter.
"That should be a God given right! Even with Obama Care, too much involved," Minaj tweeted. "Just give FREE health care to all. @barackobama What can we do?"
The award-winning entertainer continued to send tweets to the president, questioning the idiocy of the current health care system in the United States.
"@BarackObama I wouldn't mind the millions they took if it was going to healthcare," she tweeted. "Why should a poor person struggle to pay for MEDS sir?"
