Nicole Scherzinger and Ed Sheeran – short-lived romance over because of age difference
The former Pussycat Doll and "Thinking Out Loud" singer have split even before it really started.
An insider told Mirror Celeb, "They were never serious and it's now old news. The age gap was too big for them, but they remain on good terms."
The couple, who was dubbed as "Edzinger or Sheerzinger," were just starting to grow "closer" after the Brit wooed Scherzinger in a true gentleman fashion: dining takeaway Pizza Express and taking her to meet his parents. The short-lived romance started when the redhead crooner invited this Hawaiian beauty to one of his sold-out concerts at the Wembley Stadium in London, UK. The American singer apparently was nursing her broken heart by listening to Sheeran's songs after her split from her old flame.

They were snapped eating pork belly and drinking gin and tonics together at a local bar in Framlingham, Suffolk soon after. The couple was also seen around London during their series of pub dates and even posed for photos with their loyal fans.
According to the Express UK, a friend of Scherzinger said, "They were showbiz friends who saw each other on the scene. She was drawn to him over the last few months through his music." The source also added that Scherzinger claimed that Sheeran is the male version of her. She even dedicated a song to him during a gig earlier this August.
However, their fledgling relationship ended since the British singer decided to call it quits because of their age difference. Sheeran is 24 years old, while the "Baby Love" singer is 37. Despite the split, the two singers are reportedly still on good terms. Scherzinger was seen partying in Los Angeles last Thursday and enjoying the single life.
The two had a colorful dating life in the past. Sheeran has reportedly dated model Louise Johnston and singer Selena Gomez, according to the Inquisitr, while Scherzinger dated football player Pajtim Kasami and F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton.
