Nicole Scherzinger 'Lonely' After Lewis Hamilton Split

Nicole Scherzinger recently opened up about felling lonely following her split from Formula One racing driver, Lewis Hamilton.

The "X Factor UK" judge, 35, was reportedly left "heartbroken" after her five-year relationship with Hamilton, 28, fell apart in early July. She recently revealed that her life in the UK has become more lonely since her split with Hamilton particularly because her friends and family are based in the US.

"I don't have anyone here, I don't have my family, I don't even have any friends here. My publicist is my closest friend," Scherzinger told MailOnline.

"It gets lonely but I'm working all the time. If I'm not doing X Factor I put myself in the studio or I also love good food, so I'm getting to explore lots of different restaurants here," she explained. "I take my publicist and my assistant as my dates, literally."

On June 26, reports of an engagement surfaced after Hamilton made hints about a future proposal during a candid interview with a UK tabloid. However within days it was revealed that the pair, who dated on-and-off since 2007, parted ways.

"Nicole is just so heartbroken and completely devastated," a source said previously.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer and Hamilton were previously rocked with cheating reports in 2012 after Hamilton was photographed allegedly checking into a London hotel with unidentified women. However sources have cited prolonged time apart as the reason behind their split.

"They're both very happy people and have been forced to spend a lot of time apart. Sometimes they would barely see each other for weeks on end. It was hard to keep the relationship going from afar," a source explained.

"Who knows whether things might change in a year's time. They do still love each other, but they are not together as it stands," the source added.
