The victim explained that they had been dating for the past several months and she had repeatedly asked for him to marry her. She had become increasingly violent after he rebuffed her requests several times.

Her boyfriend, who was not identified, told police that he had grown weary of Karoly after he had denied her request to marry her because she had become increasingly violent toward him.

The victim told authorities that there had been another incident involving a physical attack three weeks ago which stemmed from another argument involving her immigration visa and the fact the it was about to expire soon.

Deputies explained that when Karoly's boyfriend refused to marry her, she became violent and attempted to choke and scratch him.

Karoly's boyfriend also told deputies he was slapped so hard by Karoly that his ears were ringing so bad that he thought he was going to lose his hearing permanently.

When police arrived Karoly explained that she was not assaulting him rather the pair was simply enjoying an episode of rough sex. Karoly maintained that she only hit her boyfriend while the two were having sex "because it makes it better," according to the police report.

The report also detailed that she told police: "I am a woman … how hard can I hit him," as she was being taken into custody.
