Nina Dobrev News 2017: 'Vampire Diaries' Alum Changes Hairstyle for Role in New Film

"The Vampire Diaries" alum Nina Dobrev wowed her fans when photos of her sporting a new haircut surfaced the internet recently.

The reason behind the change is reportedly because of a new role she is taking on. After starring in the hit vampire television series on The CW, Dobvrev will be in a new movie titled "Lucky Day," wherein she plays a Parisian artist named Chloe.

"It's for a new movie that I'm doing," she told Entertainment Tonight. "It's a movie called 'Lucky Day' and I play a Parisian woman who's an artist. They wanted me to cut my hair and... I don't know. I couldn't have been more excited to do it," she added.

To achieve a chic European look for her character, co-owner of Nine Zero One salon and known celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri gave her a bob and fringe.

Posting the actress' photo on Instagram, which was taken during the premiere of her latest movie titled "Flatliners," she called it the "Nob," which means the Nina bob.

Dobrev also debuted her new hairstyle on her Instagram account, with a photo taken at the red carpet. "World meet Bob. Bob... world," she wrote.

A couple of weeks ago, Capri gave the actress the "DObrev," which was a soft, blunt version of an angled bob. It was not until shortly before the premiere day of "Flatliners" that they decided to change it up a bit more.

While 28-year-old movie and television star could not reveal much about "Lucky Day" yet, she was all praises about "Flatliners," her co-stars, and the geniuses behind the film, including producer Michael Douglas and director Niels Arden Oplov.

In the movie, Dobrev plays a character named Marlo. She is described to be an overachiever who conducts dangerous and deadly experiments.
