On Wednesday, "The Vampire Diaries" alum Nina Dobrev drove fans crazy after she posted a photo on Instagram with a look that was all too new to everyone who loved her long, dark hair.
While filming for her new movie, "Crash Pad," the actress posted a picture of her from the set with a startling hairdo that MTV calls the "Ginger Pixie Incident of 2015." In the photo, she looks at the camera and appears to be startled by her own look as she donned a brown pixie-cut wig.
Fans immediately showered the photo with comments that showed their disapproval, and while some still don't buy the joke, some were relieved to discover that she didn't have her hair cut and she didn't go blonde.

The actress will be starring in the upcoming movie "The Final Girls" and will be seen in the 2016 movie "Arrivals." Some rumors suggest that she is being eyed for the lead role in the TV spin-off of Nicholas Sparks' book "The Notebook." It has not been confirmed yet, but fans took the rumor in too quickly, with some expecting to see a more mature Dobrev in the series, if she lands the role.
