Ninja Turtles Reboot Movie Begins Filming in New York
The Ninja Turtles movie reboot with Michael Bay at the helm has begun filming in Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, New York.
The film, going by the title "Foursquare" at this time, re-imagines the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a new generation of moviegoers.
The new version stars Megan Fox as the turtle's companion April O'Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Noal Fisher as Michaelangelo, and Will Arnett in an unspecified role.

The film's screenplay was written by Josh Appelbaum, Andrew Nemec, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and John Fusco and is slated for a June 6, 2014 release.
Megan Fox, who worked with Bay in the first two Transformer films, rekindled her relationship with the director and signed on for the role in the beginning of this year. The two had been known to have some issues in the past with Fox referring to Bay in interviews as "a nightmare to work for." The feud led to Fox not appearing in the third "Transformers" film.
Bay will take on a different role as producer for the "Ninja Turtles" film, leaving the director's chair to Jonathan Liebesman.
Liebesman recently commented on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who were created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in the 1980s. He expressed his excitement for the film and the fans who have supported the pizza-eating martial arts masters for over 25 years.
"I think it's so exciting that there's such a passionate fanbase," he said. That's incredible that so many people still care [about the Ninja Turtles]."
"I think that fans should be reassured that everything they love will be in the film," he added. "It's not going to be something they won't like. They will be extremely excited about it. Anything we're doing ties back into the mythology. We have the upmost respect for that and for the fans."
