Nintendo eShop Offers 2 Classic Mega Man Titles for the Wii U and 3DS for $2 Over 2 Days

Nintendo is running a special promotion on their eShop where they are offering two games for $2 for two days.

The games currently available are Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge for the 3DS, which is normally $3.99, and Megan Man X for the Wii U, which is normally $7.99. Wiley's Revenge was for the Game Boy in 1991, and X was released for the Super Nintendo in 1993.

This is the year of the comeback for Mega Man as it was announced he would be in Super Smash Bros 4, which is the first time the Blue Bomber will be appearing in the series.

Last week Nintendo rolled out a number of classic games to be downloaded for the Wii U and 3DS' eShops.

For the 3DS, classic Sega titles Sonic the Hedgehog and Altered Beast were available for $5.99 and put into 3D. Both of these games were originally for the Sega Geneses and are over 20 years old.

For $9.99, 3DS gamers could have gotten Brilliant Hamsters! The 3DS Virtual Console also had Donkey Kong 3 for just $4.99.

The Wii U Virtual Console had The Legend of Mystical Ninja for $7.99, which only cost $1 as an upgrade if already purchased on the Wii. This game was originally for the Super Nintendo.

Nintendo recently released an update for the 3DS that brought the Miiverse to the handheld console as well as unified the 3DS and Wii U eShop accounts.

The little Miiverse icon can now be located in the top row of the bottom 3DS screen which also included a new camera app as well the five-time limit 3DS data transfer being removed, according to Polygon.

Dubbed the 7.0 update, 3DS users can now sign in with their Nintendo Network ID to connect with both the handheld and Wii U. However, according to reports from Verge, gamers seem to be suffering some network connection issues.

3DS launched their YouTube App Dec. 3 for free as part of their recent updates to the handheld. The App may be uploaded from the 3DS eShop in both North America and Europe.
