The track record for Nintendo failing to deliver top notch gaming devices and games has been slim to none. However, fans have been skeptic of the successful tech company as it had promised a new home console on March 2015, to which it has not still administered anything concrete as of yet.

The Nintendo NX was said to offer a fresh new concept to the gaming console arena. It was reported to sport top quality and industry leading specs, capable of being both a home and portable gaming device. The first spark of hope though was when Nintendo started to distribute software development kits to developers, followed by a promise to deliver the Nintendo NX on March 2017.
It was made clear, however, that the Nintendo NX would not replace either the Nintendo 3DS or the Nintendo Wii U. It would instead introduce a new gaming lineup all on its own.
Production Phase
This week, however, reports have stated that the tech company has entered the production phase for the Nintendo NX. This would properly line up with the March 2017 release promise of the company, which could even fast track the official launching of the device to a much earlier date.
Some reports have even said that Nintendo has begun with the trial production for the Nintendo NX. The reports have further stated that the trial production was headed by Foxconn, which is the same company that rigorously manufactures the current iPhone devices. The reports have also stated that the tech giant would be producing around 9.5 to 10 million units of the Nintendo NX annually.
There have been no leaks, however, of how the Nintendo NX may look like. Aside from the company's assurance that the gaming console will feature high end and premium specs, no exact and detailed specifications have been released yet.
Console Setup and Early Release?
Some tech reviewers and experts believe that the Nintendo NX will feature a hybrid console setup, with detachable controllers. A report somehow confirmed this notion saying that the Nintendo NX will be equipped with its own displayed, but can be turned to a home console through a TV connection.
Even as leaks and details have remained scarce, it is the fact that the Nintendo NX is already in production that is of value. Some reports have even went as far as saying that Nintendo could be launching the gaming console early next month. This essentially moves the launch date almost five months earlier than promised. With the device being at the production stage, however, this report may be closer to the truth as we can get.
