Nintendo NX Release Date and News: EA Investing in NX?

As gamers await the coming of a new console from Nintendo, a recent report says the gaming industry giant has already started distributing software kits for developers who might want to be part of the launch.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, Nintendo is already in the phase where game development is being planned and organized, which could also mean that the new console is getting closer to its launch date.

While the list of games to be included in the release of the Nintendo NX has yet to be revealed, developers that would like to have their games in the new system can utilize the Nintendo software kit to develop a system in the existing games in their lineup or create new ones.

According to Christian Today, several game studios have already shown interest in the upcoming gaming console, including Monolith Soft and Square Enix.

As Nintendo remains mum on the titles to be released, rumor has it that a new "Legend of Zelda" title is on the way, which might be available not only for the NX but for Wii U as well. Another more popular title in the Nintendo franchise is "Super Mario," and rumors indicate that a new installment may be developed for the console.

Meanwhile, Express U.K. reports that one of the largest and most significant names in the gaming industry has said that it is ready to invest in whatever Nintendo offers. Electronic Arts (EA) CEO Andrew Wilson said the company is looking forward to get into talks with Nintendo to see what opportunities both parties may find beneficial to each.

The outlet, notes, however, that Wilson did not specifically mention that he will be in for the NX. On the other hand, he mentioned that he might be joining hands with Nintendo for a "multi-platform" system that will give gamers and fans a whole new gaming experience.

The Nintendo NX is speculated to launch before 2016 ends.
