'No Man's Sky' Release Date: Hello Games Says It's Still On For June 2016
Fans were disheartened when news surfaced that "No Man's Sky" will be delayed as they have been anticipating the game's launch for the past year, and while multiple outlets have reported that the delay is due to technical issues, one particular outlet known for its reliability in gaming and other related news reports has slammed the rumors.
iDigital Times says it's impossible to say at this time that the highly anticipated game will indeed be delayed and fans should rely on the promise that launch is scheduled for June 2016.
The outlet admits that with the number of outlets reporting that Hello Games has decided to delay the launch due to some various technical issues that need to be dealt with, it's only reasonable that some fans have started to spread the news.
Misleading reports about upcoming games are not new, and the outlet warns fans to rely on the official information that the publisher has given initially as the team behind "No Man's Sky" can only be the people giving out announcements about problems and delays.
Probably the most reasonable statement that the outlet gave is the fact that no one from Hello Games has actually said anything on social media about technicalities and issues that they are facing while developing the survival adventure.
The outlet further notes that the official website, Facebook, and Twitter pages all reflect the June 2016 release date, which is, after all, the only date announced by Hello Games for the past months.
On the other hand, the gaming network also said that the rumor could be true, but fans shouldn't get worried over something that has not been confirmed by an official member of the development or executive team.
Also, in the official website, the most recent post dated Nov. 19, actually talks about the team's visits to The Late Show. The blog post also mentioned that the team enjoyed New York, without mentioning anything about a technical issue that needs to be fixed that will result to the game's delay.
