Nokia 2 Specs, Release Date: Device Leaked by Retailer

The yet-to-be-announced Nokia 2 has popped up on the website of the U.S. retailer B&H Photo, in which details about the device have been revealed.

Per the listing of the device by the retailer, which was immediately taken down, the next HMD Global offering will be released to the region with a price tag of $99 and that it will be offered in black and white color variants.

The emergence of the listing on the U.S. retailer reveals that the Nokia 2 should see the light of day sooner rather than later. It is rumored that it will be released sometime next month.

Previous leaks and reports have painted the Nokia 2 as an entry-level offering and the design of the handset is very different from the smartphones released by HMD Global so far.

Press renders of the device that hit the world wide web last month show the Nokia 2 will feature on-screen buttons as opposed to physical ones. The display will be at 4.7 inches with a high-definition (HD) resolution.

The smartphone will reportedly be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 and 212 processor paired with 1 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 8 GB of storage that can be expanded with a microSD card.

In the imaging department, it is being said that the handset will come with an 8 MP camera on the back and a 5 MP snapper on the front.

While the Nokia 2 is an entry-level device, it comes with a massive 4,000-mAh battery, which should allow users to enjoy what the handset has to offer for long hours. It will have the Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box as well.

Apart from the Nokia 2, HMD Global is also expected to come out with the Nokia 9, a top-of-the-line flagship device with an all-screen front panel.
