Nokia 2 Specs, Release Date: New Benchmark Listing Reveals Key Features
A day before the purported unveiling of the Nokia 2, the key specifications and features of the handset are detailed in a brand new leak courtesy of an AnTuTu benchmark test.
The device from HMD Global will feature a high-resolution (HD) display. The size of the screen is not mentioned but previous details suggest that it will be at 4.7 inches.
The Nokia 2 tested by AnTuTu is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor with four cores of ARM Cortex-A7 central processing unit (CPU) at a maximum clock speed of 1.3GHz.
This is paired with 1 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 8 GB of expandable storage, making it a low-end offering, as media outlets expected. The Adreno 304 will handle the graphics processing in the device.
The handset that was tested on AnTuTu runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box. It is unclear whether it will be updated to the latest Google mobile operating system, which is Android 8.0 Oreo, but the fact that it is an entry-level device indicates that it is more unlikely.
With regard to the imaging department, the Nokia 2 will come with an 8 MP camera on the back and a 5 MP snapper on the front for selfies.
Users can enjoy all these features for long hours, thanks to the device's massive 4000mAh battery that could keep the lights on for the whole day.
The Nokia 2 also recently got Bluetooth-certified, which means that its imminent launch is close. In fact, HMD Global has a launch event set today, Oct. 31.
While the star of the show could easily be the Nokia 2, the company has several handsets on the way including the top of the line flagship Nokia 9 and the Nokia 7. Thankfully, users will not have to wait that long to learn for sure.
