Nokia 3310 2017 Price News Update: Handset Now Available for Pre-Order for $59.99
The new Nokia 3310 is set to return to the U.S. market soon, and new reports reveal that it will finally support 3G. Currently, the handset is available for pre-order at Best Buy for $59.99.
The Nokia 3310 3G is the tech company's modern take on the classic Nokia 3310, which was first released in 2000. This handset will officially be released on Oct. 29 and will serve as an updated version of the brick phone that became so popular among tech enthusiasts around two decades ago.
The upcoming phone is a dual SIM handset that's compatible with various carriers, including AT & T, T-Mobile, Cricket, TRACFONE, Net10, Simple Mobile, and H20 Wireless. Unfortunately, it does not offer LTE support, so 3G is the best that users can get out of the device when it comes to cellular connectivity.
In terms of its physical appearance, the Nokia 3310 comes with a solid body, a small 2.4-inch screen with 240 x 320 pixels, and a retro UI. Unlike the old brick phone, which did not have a camera, the modern version of the Nokia 3310 has a 2-megapixel (MP) camera with LED flash. Buyers can also choose among the wide range of color options, including azure, charcoal, warm red, and yellow.
Pre-installed in the handset is the legendary Snake game, which was the most popular game on mobile phones from way back. The modernized phone also allows users to access Facebook, although the experience may be quite underwhelming compared to what Android phones can offer.
The phone also features a 3.5mm headset jack, an FM radio, an MP3 player, and a slot for microSD with up to 32 GB of capacity. Its battery is a removable 1200 mAh one, which can last up to 6.5 hours of talk time and up to 24 days of standby time.
The Nokia 3310 3G will be available for shipping starting Oct. 29.
