Nokia 9 Specs, Release Date: Flagship Certified in China?

The Nokia 9, which has not been confirmed by HMD Global, has recently received its 3C certification in China, which means the device is coming to the country.

The device in question comes with the model number TA-1054, which is in line with the numbering scheme used on the product line. The Nokia 7 came with the model number TA-1041.

Now that it has been certified, the Nokia 9 is expected to be launched sooner rather than later. After all, the Nokia 7 was unveiled around the same time the 3C certification popped up, which was last September.

Apart from the certification, the only information revealed about the device is that it will support 4G LTE connectivity. However, rumor mills have been providing details about what the device will have to offer in the past weeks.

Reports and leaks about the Nokia 9 continue to come to light as the mobile community waits for its official unveiling. In fact, not too long ago, purported leaked images of the flagship showed that it will come with a dual camera setup believed to be the ones found on the Nokia 8.

There was also a cut-out for a fingerprint scanner on the back, which puts media outlets under the impression that the Nokia 9 will come with a bezel-less front panel and a tall display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

This will give HMD Global a better chance to compete with other flagships that already shed their bezels for a premium look. The Nokia 8, even with its top of the line specs such as its unique cameras, struggled to capture the mobile community because of its appearance, which looked outdated when placed next to flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S8, LG V30 and the Google Pixel 2 XL.

HMD Global is looking to increase their chances by officially going bezel-less in the Nokia 9. With the smartphone set to adapt to the latest trends in the mobile scene, many users are excited to see it in the flesh. Thankfully, it looks like the wait won't be that long.
