Nokia C1 Render Leak Rumors: Android and Windows 10 Versions Likely
When it comes to smartphones, Nokia isn't the first option among many especially with the tight competition of the tech giants like Apple and Samsung. But the Finnish company isn't backing down as reports say that they are coming up with a smartphone dubbed as the Nokia C1.
According to Phone Arena, a leaked image of the device has been making its rounds on Chinese Twitter-equivalent Weibo. But as for now, it's best to take the leaked information with a pinch of salt since the image has a "very artificial feel to it." It's still uncertain on whether the device rendered will come into reality.
Nonetheless, it's already confirmed that there will be new devices coming in 2016 from the company. In terms of the specs of the C1, not much is known but it's speculated that it will come in two versions. The first one will be equipped with the Android operating system along with Nokia's Z Launcher on top. The other one will come with Windows 10 Mobile. It's still not known though if users will be able to choose their preferred OS. The handset is also said to be created by Chinese Foxconn OEM.
As detailed in BGR, the Nokia C1 in the photo comes with a large screen. Reports say that it will be a 5-inch FHD display. It does not have a home button which makes it look like the design of the iPhone 4/4s models. It will be covered with a metal frame with rounded corners and a back panel with colors similar to what Apple is using for the iPhone 6s. Color options available are White, Gold, Pink and Grey.
Previous leaks showed the smartphone's rear camera positioned at the center. However, the latest render of the handset shows the rear camera located on the top-left corner. NDTV Gadgets noted that the rear camera will be 8 megapixels while the front snapper will be 5 megapixels. It is said to be powered by an Intel chipset and will feature 2 GB of RAM.
