Nokia Lumia 1020 Specs Leaked, Device to Feature 41-Megapixel Camera
Specifications for the Nokia Lumia 1020 were leaked onto the Internet earlier this week.
The Windows-powered device is expected to feature a 41-megapixel PureView camera, a 4.5-inch AMOLED screen, 2GB RAM, and 32GB of storage. Several media outlets have reported on the handset coming with this 41-megapixel camera that greatly outclasses what is found on most other smartphones on the market at this time.
The Verge received the official press photos of the device that confirm most of these specs including the 41-megapixel camera. The device is expected to be unveiled at a special press event the company will host later today. It will be held in New York.
The PureView camera will include a Xenon flash and F/2.2 lens along with a new Pro Camera application and the company's OIS stabilization. The App will provide access to white balance, ISO, focus, shutter speed, and other settings through a radial menu-like interface. It will be full of new features and will also have options to toggle aspect ratio on photos and the ability to enter "dual shot" mode which takes images at different resolutions at the same time.
The Lumia 1020 will come with accessories such as a Camera Grip shell that features tripod-mount support and a two-stage camera button. It actually attaches to the rear of the device and includes a USB port and battery. Nokia also will offer a wireless charging cover for the Lumia 1020 which will be optional for this model.
The device will be released through AT&T. The carrier recently stated that the handset supports 6x zoom in 720p and will also be able to record "high-quality stereo with deep bass" through "digital high performance microphones."
