Recorded with producer Josh Barber and mixed by Jeremy Griffith of Covenant Recording Studios in Kansas City, the album is the band's sixth and their first since 2010's Meridional.

The album comes in different bundles featuring various t-shirts, posters, and stickers ranging from $5 to $70 at http://normajean.merchnow.com/.

Also available is the limited edition special 3.5" vinyl featuring B-sides "AHHH! SHARK BITE AHHH!" and "Chug On Three."

The band has sold over 416,000 units in the United States and has been nominated for one Grammy for "Best Recording Package" in 2006.

The band was originally signed to Solid State Records under the name Luti-Kriss, but changed their name because of a musical style change and due to confusion with the rapper Ludacris who is from Atlanta, Ga. as well.
