North West Doesn't Wear Pink, Kim Kardashian Reveals

Kim Kardashian had her first child with rap mogul Kanye West last June and recently explained that as fashionable parents they do not dress their daughter North West in pink.

Kardashian, the 33-year-old reality television star, recently opened up to London's Sunday Times about the fact that North will not be dressed in typical pink clothing made available in stores to baby girls.

"I think North looks cute in light colors, and then I want to wear light colors," Kardashian told the Times recently. "North doesn't typically wear pink, though. She wears mauve or blush, not, like, typical baby pink."

West, the 36-year-old rap mogul, spoke about Kardashian sharing his affinity for fashion recently which may have carried over into their choices for their daughter.

"She's been spending her whole check on clothes since she was 16, just like me," West told San Francisco radio station 106 KMEL recently. "And that's the reason why both of us are the most influential…I think me and my girl are extremely influential greatly due to the paparazzi."

It seems the pair's influence carried over to Paris Fashion Week where North was gifted with high fashion clothing from coveted designers. North was given clothing from Lanvin, a leather dress from Alexander Wang, a mini white lab coat from Maison Martin Margiela, a custom Bambi tee from Givenchy, sweaters and snakeskin slip-ons from Céline, according to People.com.

While Kardashian may be training her daughter about the use of color in her fashion choices, she previously spoke about not raising North to see color in terms of people as a person of both Armenian and African American decent.

"I have a lot of friends who are of all different nationalities and their children are bi-racial so they've talked to me a little bit about it and what to expect," Kardashian previously told BET. "The most important thing is, the way I want to raise my children is to not see color."

Still, Kardashian admitted that she probably will not have a full idea about how to handle societal challenges with North until she experiences them.

"There are experiences that you won't really know how to prepare for until you really go through it but raising a child in general is challenging. As long as you are open-minded and don't have any preconceived ideas of how you are going to raise your children, it really keeps this broad spectrum," Kardashian told BET. "Obviously, you want your child to travel the world and experience different races and different cultures everywhere. So that's really important to me."
