5 Christian-Owned Companies With Godly Values
1. Forever 21
- This famous clothing store was founded by Don and Jin Chang, devout Christians who moved to America from Korea in 1981. On the bottom of each Forever 21 shopping bag, shoppers will find "John 3:16," the popular Bible verse that reads, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
2. Chick-Fil-A
- Chick-Fil-A COO Dan Cathy has said, "We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit." His comments supporting biblical marriage angered gay marriage activists, who called for people to boycott the restaurant. However, former Arkansas governor and Fox commentator Mike Huckabee organized a "Chick-Fil-A appreciation day" which helped the company shatter sales records. The company has also stuck to its founder's religiously motivated decision to stay closed on Sundays.
3. Hobby Lobby
- A national chain of more than 500 arts-and-craft stores throughout the country. Their website virtually mentions God and closes all of its stores on Sundays, similar to Chick-Fil-A. According to its website, the first company's mission statement is "Honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company in a matter consistent with biblical principles." Another statement of purpose is: "Providing a return on the owners' investment, sharing the Lord's blessings with our employees, and investing in our community."
4. Tyson Foods
- Tyson is a faith-friendly company that refuses to hide its faith. The company strives "to honor God" and it offers employees chaplain services at plants across America. Individuals are brought in to pray and assist those in need. Tyson is also known for donating mass amounts of food to America's poor.
5. In-N-Out Burger
- U.S. burger chain, In-N-Out Burger, has printed citations of Bible passages on cups, wrappers and many other pieces of packaging since at least the late 1980s. For example, "John 3:16″ appears on the bottom of soft drink cups.
