Nvidia Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Seen Running Ice Cream Sandwich (VIDEO)

Nvidia recently released footage of its Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime running on Google's next operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Nvidia's quad-core Tegra 3 processor is also a part of the hardware and software workings in the tablet.

The company spoke to website PCMag and noted that the video release is "just an early demo." The company also said it taped the video for its tablet and OS two days after Google released the Ice Cream Sandwich source code. Nvidia then insisted that Android 4.0 runs on the new tablet with "absolute stability."

Asus' Eee Pad Transformer Prime recently launched earlier this month with Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was said to be arriving on the tablet in "early December."

The Eee Pad Transformer Prime is notable for being the first mobile device to feature Nvidia's Tegra 3 System-on-a-Chip, sporting a quad-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU and a 12-core GeForce GPU.

This tablet comes with a long list of notable features, such as an HD 8-megapixel-rear auto-focus camera and continuous LED flash, up to 18 hours of battery life, a pre-loaded note-taking program called SuperNote, and SonicMaster audio technology.

United States retail prices for the Transformer Prime currently start at $499 for the 32 GB version and $599 for the 64 GB model. Its keyboard-docking accessory goes for $149. The purchase of the keyboard dock with either version of the tablet will sell between $648 and $748, respectively.
