Obama Buys Four More Beers for Crowd: 'We're Stimulating the Economy' (VIDEO)

President Obama switched up campaigning tactics on Monday during a state fair by offering to buy a round of drinks when prompted by the crowd.

President Obama spent time on Monday visiting the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines and getting to know the locals in the area, although the simple gesture the idea soon became complex. It was a lofty thought to consider that the President might walk into the state fair as a regular old Joe, but many were not expecting the large entourage that raided the fair tents for safety hours before the President had even arrived.

Unfortunately, for one tent owner, Mike Cunningham, the routine security check resulted in a drop of business. Cunningham claimed that even after the Secret Service had completed the check, business had severely slowed. When the President himself visited the tent, Cunningham mentioned how he had lost business and received a pleasant surprise.

The president, sympathetic of Cunningham who was operating a beer tent, attempted to increase business by buying a beer for himself and then suggesting to the nearby crowd that they too should purchase a beer if they were of age.

"Hey, everybody who is over 21, you've got to buy a beer," Obama announced to the crowd. "Alright? You gotta get a beer."

One member of the crowd, however, was quick with a witty rebuttal.

"Is it on you?" he asked.

"Let me see how much I got in my wallet," Obama responds then pulling out his wallet and counting out his cash.

"We're stimulating the economy today!" Cunningham chimed in.

"Four more beers," the crowd chanted.

Obama proceeded by purchasing ten additional drinks for members in the crowd. Before the night was over he also indulged in two pork chops although he passed on the sweet treats.
