Obama Dances the Tango in the Wake of Brussels Bombing, Receives Backlash from Critics

On Wednesday night, the president of the United States enjoyed dinner and danced the tango and while he reportedly declined to dance numerous times before finally hitting the dance floor, he has received rage from critics.

The criticism came as President Barack Obama completed his tour of Latin America wherein he attended a baseball game and was convinced to dance by a lady dancer during the Argentina state dinner. For Richard Haass, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, Obama's activities weren't consistent with the global issues, particularly since he seemed to have a calm and amazing week touring while Brussels mourned its dead.

According to Yahoo News, Haass said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," "That was a tremendous mistake. It's fine to go to Argentina but you've got to be careful of these little photo ops and optics. Baseball games and tangos, that's inconsistent with the seriousness of the day."
