'Octomom' Nadya Suleman Checks Into Rehab for Drug Addiction
Nadya Suleman, aka Octomom, has reportedly checked herself into the Southern California Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center. The mother of 14 is seeking help for addiction to prescription medications.
"Nadya wanted to get off the Xanax she was prescribed by her doctor and learn to deal with her stress, exhaustion and anxiety with professional help with a team of doctors. Nadya wanted to deal with her issues and make sure she is the best mother she can be," a spokesperson for Suleman told TMZ.
While she is in rehab, her 14 children will be taken care of by a team of nannies and friends. The Suleman family recently moved into a new home and is still settling in to the larger place. It's a much-needed change of pace for the large family who has struggled with finances and has been investigated by Children and Protective Services.

Suleman was able to afford the new home after starring in an adult film entitled: "Octomom: Home Alone." She made no excuses for her decision to star in the film and proudly touted her choice to do what she felt she needed to do in order to provide for her family.
"I had to do it. I'll just have to explain to the kids I only did it for them, once they are old enough. Nobody takes me seriously in job interviews because of all the negative things people say about 'Octomom,' like calling me a benefits parasite. I can't get a normal job. I haven't done anything wrong with the film. I'm just trying to be a good mum," she told TMZ.
Chapman House has offered to take care of the cost of treatment for Suleman, a sign of how badly they wanted her to get help. Xanax is a very strong anti-anxiety medication that is frequently overused and abused. Hopefully getting off the medication will allow Suleman an even better start towards the next stage in her family's life.
