Ohio Car Accident: Elderly Driver Kills 3 Students
A fatal car accident Friday has killed three Bowling Green State University sorority sisters as well as an elderly woman in another car.
The car carrying five members of Alpha Xi Delta, aged 19 to 21, was struck by that of a wrong-way driver on Interstate 75 south of Toledo, just miles from the students' school. The two survivors were seriously injured.
Sarah Hammond, Rebekah Blakkolb, and Christina Goyett were killed in the accident, as well as the other driver, Winifred D. Lein, 69, of Perrysburg, Ohio.

The sorority sisters were on their way to the Detroit airport about to embark on a Spring Break trip to the Dominican Republic along with 16 other Alpha Xi's.
Another vehicle carrying five other sisters narrowly avoided the wrong-way driver, Ohio state troopers said.
"I don't think the college girls ever saw it coming," said Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn, according to AZ Central. "Nothing they could have done to avoid the crash."
Students at Bowling Green have delivered flowers to the sorority house on campus, while members of the sorority are not speaking to reporters.
Paige Winters, alum of Alpha Xi Delta's Iota Chapter at West Virgnina University, told The Christian Post, "I can't imagine what [the sisters] must be going through. My deepest condolences to out to them."
The tragedy Friday occurred only five days after three Bowling Green students were shot and killed while two others were wounded at Chardon High School East of Cleveland on Monday. A 17-year-old has been charged with the devastating crime.
