Olivia Wilde Showgirl Cover Makes Waves
Olivia Wilde wowed fans on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine just after announcing her engagement earlier this month.
The 28-year-old actress confirmed her plans to marry "Saturday Night Live" star Jason Sudeikis on Jan. 13 via Twitter.
In Vanity Fair's 2013 Hollywood issue, Wilde was photographed in circus-inspired feathers and sparkles. Dozens of actors such as Ben Affleck and Bradley Cooper, who were dressed as a bear and a gorilla, respectively, joined the actress in the feature.
Over 75 actors from all backgrounds are included in the Hollywood issue, including Emma Stone, Selena Gomez, Jonah Hill, and Halle Berry.
The magazine hits newsstands just a few weeks before Wilde's latest film, "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone," arrives in theaters on March 15. The film also stars Steve Carrell, Jim Carrey, and Steve Buscemi.
Meanwhile, Wilde's engagement does not come as a surprise. She and Sudeikis were first spotted together in November 2011, and then moved in together last fall.
After a long courtship, the "SNL" star popped the question to Wilde with a large diamond ring shortly after the holidays, according to People magazine.
"They are so excited, and very, very happy," said a source close to the couple, according to the magazine.
Sudeikis has finally found the perfect match in Wilde, according to another source at Us Weekly.
"He finally found the one that made him want to commit," said an insider at the publication. "They've both been through it before and this has just felt right from the get go. Everyone is so happy for them."
According to the actress' representative, the ring is an antique.
Wilde received an outpour of messages from fans on Twitter following the engagement news, for which she was grateful.
"Thanks for all the sweet congratulatory love, friends," wrote the actress to her followers. "And may I compliment your savvy use of that nifty engagement ring emoticon."
It will be the second marriage for both actors; Wilde married Italian prince Tao Ruspoli in 2003 at the age of 18, but the pair split after eight years of marriage.
Alternately, Sudeikis, whose uncle is "Cheers" actor George Wendt, was married to "30 Rock" writer Kay Cannon for six years until 2010.
