Omarosa Seeking Legal Action Against Latoya Jackson?

Omarosa Manigault, the political consultant who became popular on the first season of Donald Trump's "The Apprentice," may be suing fellow cast member Latoya Jackson. Jackson made comments concerning the recent death of Omarosa's fiance Michael Clarke Duncan.

In a one-on-one interview on the show that aired recently, Jackson was fired from the competition. However, she made sure to share her thoughts on Manigault and Duncan before leaving the competition.

"Omarosa's fiance passed away not long ago. He had a heart attack– I'm sure she gave it to him," Jackson said on the show. "She's a conniving, scheming, cut-throat, probably pulled the cord on Michael Duncan Clarke … and I thought Mr. Trump was falling for that fake cry. Such a lie!"

Once Manigault caught wind of Jackson's statement, her lawyers spoke out about the matter.

"La Toya Jackson's statement on the March 17, 2013 episode of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, that the Reverend Omarosa Manigault caused her fiancé Michael Clarke Duncan to die, is false, vicious and defamatory," Manigault's legal representatives told Radar Online.

"Rev. Manigault has been heralded as a life saver for her actions on the evening that her fiancé suffered a life-ending heart attack. It is repulsive and of the lowest level of class for Ms. Jackson, who showed herself to be a 'sore loser' in making these disgusting statements in the wake of Rev. Manigault's tragic loss," the attorney continued.

Jackson said she regretted the comment during an appearance on the "Today" show.

"I certainly do, I regret it very much so," Jackson said. "I think if I had to do it again, of course I would definitely bring her back to the boardroom."

Six months ago, Manigault's fiancé, an Academy Award-nominated actor, passed away after suffering from a heart attack. However, the reality television star-turned-minister told Essence that she has made sure to trust God during her times of grief.

"I've been mindful of that and I've tried to stay encouraged for people who come to me and say, 'How have you been so strong,'" she told Essence. "What I've learned is that if I trust God, he will carry me through the difficult times and challenges. And I've learned that I am equipped to deal with everything that life throws at me."
