'Omiai Aite wa Oshiego, Tsuyokina, Mondaiji.' Air Date, Spoilers: Teacher–Student Romance Featured in Upcoming Anime Series
Nana Saigawa is not getting any younger. Unfortunately, she is also not getting any romance. But things are about to change after an unsuspecting trip to an arranged marriage meeting on the upcoming short-form Japanese anime series, "Omiai Aite wa Oshiego, Tsuyokina, Mondaiji. (My Marriage Interview Partner Is a Student, Strong and a Problem Child)."
The series tells the story of a popular teacher named Nana and the troublemaking student, Shuuji Kuga. When an acquaintance invites Nana to an arranged marriage meeting, she hits it off really well with the man she meets despite her initial reluctance. But as it turns out, that man is none other than Shuuji in disguise.
And even though she rejects the arranged marriage as soon as she finds out, Shuuji will continue to pursue her. How long can the late-blooming teacher keep her student at bay, especially when Shuuji's persistent advances start to affect her in unexpected ways?
The upcoming series is based on the age-gap romance manga of the same name created by Sigma Torai for mature audiences. It will be shown in both censored and uncensored versions and will feature two voice actresses for Nana: Rina Honizumi for the censored version, which will be shown on TV, and Miu Aoi for the uncensored version, which is scheduled to stream simultaneously on Comic Fiesta's Anime Zone site.
On the other hand, Yusuke Shirai and Tetsuo Furukawa will be doing the voice of Shuuji in the censored and uncensored versions, respectively.
Saburou Miura will be writing and overseeing the scripts, as well as directing the anime series for the production company, Seven. Binme will be serving as both the character designer and chief animation director, while Goichi Katanozaka takes care of art direction.
"Omiai Aite wa Oshiego, Tsuyokina, Mondaiji." premieres on Sunday, Oct. 1, late night at 1 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX. It will also air on Monday, Oct. 2, late night 1 a.m. JST on KBS Kyoto and late night at 1:55 a.m. on AT-X. Information on other broadcast schedule and online resources can be found on the series' official site.
The censored version of the pilot episode will reportedly be pre-screened at Loft/Plus One in Japan on Sunday, Sept. 24, along with the commentary screening of another short-form Japanese anime series, "Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita (There's a Beast Under the Skirt)."
