It can also be remembered from the last season that Emma (Jennifer Morrison) has gone to the dark side and will need some saving. That's exactly where things pick up on the next season. Apparently, it has been revealed that the evil and now also good Regina (Lana Parrilla) will be the one trying to bring Emma into the light.

In an interview by Pop Sugar at Comic-con, Parrilla was asked whether there's going to be a role reversal between her and Emma.

"The hero has been evolving within Regina," she answered. "We will see a role reversal of some sort, and I think that everyone is going to look to Regina for guidance and help … I think she is going to have a huge impact in bringing Emma back into the light."

The show creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz said that Emma may be in the dark side for most of the coming season, suggesting that bringing Emma back into the light will be the central there of the series.
