'Once Upon a Time' Season 3 Spoilers: Rapunzel Makes Debut, Rumpel On The Loose
"Once Upon a Time" fans are still in shock over the return of Rumpelstiltskin, but this week's installment of the hit show is sure to deliver even more surprises.
According to the trailer for Sunday's episode entitled "The Tower," Rapunzel is making her debut on "Once Upon a Time." The famed fairytale princess is revealed in her tower when a handsome hero climbs her lengthy hair to save her in the clip.
Meanwhile, in the fairy world, Rumpelstiltskin is still being held captive by Zelda, who is the Wicked Witch of the West. The promo for "The Tower" reveals what could be his great escape, but is he returning to the dark side because of Zelda?
"Once Upon a Time" Star Ginnifer Goodwin opened up about her co-star Rebecca Mader and her role as Zelda recently.
"She wanted her to be manipulative and conniving, something of an investigator," the actress told TV Line. "But then she realized, 'No, what would actually be wicked would be to match Snow's sweetness and really seem like someone cut from the same cloth.'"
Not surprisingly, according to spoilers online, Zelda is able to manipulate Snow White [Goodwin] and Charming [Josh Dallas] into letting her into their home in this Sunday's episode, reported TV Guide. In doing so, Zelena convinces them that she will help their impending pregnancy, but it is clear she has ulterior motives.
Looking ahead, viewers are speculating that the first-born child of Snow White and Charming could likely be not only a savior figure that Emma is, but drawn from inspiration of "The Wizard of Oz" character Dorothy. Actress Ginnifer Goodwin admitted that she and Josh Dallas have ruminated the theory themselves while speaking to TV Line.
"The Tower" airs on ABC Sundays 8 p.m. EST. The synopsis for "The Tower" on TV Guide reads: "The hunt for the Wicked Witch continues. Meanwhile, Zelena has an ominous plan for David; and back in fairy-tale land, Prince Charming encounters Rapunzel and assists her in facing her fears."
